Cream makeup tins can get messy, uneven, or leave stubborn product stuck around the edges that seems impossible to scoop out. In this video, we show you how to melt down your cream foundation, blush, and contour tins using a simple candle warmer so you can reset your makeup and use every last bit of product.

Candle Warmer Melting Tips:

  • Remove tin: Remove tin from palette.

  • Low and Slow Heat: Place your metal tin directly onto a candle warmer base and watch closely. The low, controlled heat gently liquefies the cream without burning the formula or degrading pigments.

  • Swirl to Combine Product: Once liquid, use a clean toothpick or metal spatula to scrape product off the inner rim and swirl it flat and remove any hair of fuzzies.

  • Keep It Flat While Cooling: Turn off warm and let tins cool before removing. Carefully remove the warm tin, set it on a level surface, and let it cool completely until solid.

  • Never Use Open Flames or Microwaves: Candle warmers provide a safe, even surface; direct flames or microwaves can overheat the metal, spark, or ruin the cream consistency.
