8 Makeup tips for oily skin!

1. Use Micellar Water to Cleanse

By cleaning your skin in the morning, you can start fresh. Micellar water helps with those tiny micelles (oil molecules), which function as a magnet to lift dirt, oil, and residue up and away from the skin, Waterproof cleanses and mattifies. The nicest thing about utilizing micellar water is that there is no need to rinse. Just dispense a small amount onto a cotton pad, then swipe the pad around your face.


2. Keep Your Complexion Hydrated

The fact that you have oily skin does not exempt you from using moisturizer. All skin types need to be hydrated, but it's important to choose a moisturizer that is made specifically for you, and one that will work well with your makeup. Hyaluronic acid also help to give hydration, but make sure it is applied on damp skin.

3.SPF

NEVER SKIP IT! You still need protection from the sun all year around, so be sure to add 2 teaspoons of spf always! I love Korean skincare and the best spf I use is Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. It does not leave a white cast and gives amazing protection for the suns harmful UV. Sunscreen protect you from the sun, but also allows your skin care underneath to do it's job, help to keep skin issues such as malasma, rosacea, acne, freckle an other problem from getting worse or flaring up.

4.Blotting paper

Using blotting papers or rice papers will help soak up the extra oil and extra product sitting on top of your skin like the Seint Shine Papers. Be sure to allow products to dry in between. Blotting sheets are quite handy and can be thrown in your purse for touch-ups during the day. You can assist remove any extra oil that has accumulated on your complexion over the day with just a quick swipe.


5.Beginning With Primer

It's likely that you've had a noon makeup meltdown if you have oily skin some times in the past. For this reason, it's a good idea to use a face primer before putting on your cream makeup. Choose a good primer that helps your makeup last all day by blurring and smoothing out any flaws. Apply the primer to certain regions of your face or your complete face every morning after hydrating (such as an oily T-zone).


6.Spray Setting Spray before primer, then after makeup applied before Powder

Add a last spritz of Setting Spray to help keep your look in place all day. Spray with a "X" and "T" motion to ensure complete coverage. This will ensure that your makeup stays smudge-free and fresh all day, then allow to dry before setting with a setting powder.


7.Include a clay mask in your skincare regimen.

Use this as a reason to regularly treat your skin well. Three types of clay kaolin, montmorillonite, and Moroccan lava are great formulations to help pull away the buildup of pollutants, filth, and oils and lessen the appearance of excessive shine. An even layer should be applied to clean, dry skin. After leaving it on for 10 to 15 minutes, rinse it off with water. For optimal results, use three times each week.


8.DO NOT over do it with mattifying products

Just because you have oily skin does not mean you have to use all mattifying

product. You can over dry your skin which will cause your skin to create more oil because it thinks you are too dry.
