Troubleshooting Your New IIID Cream Makeup

So, you just unboxed your new Seint Beauty Makeup—congratulations! You're in for a treat! As you dive into this fabulous world of makeup, it's normal to have a few questions along the way. Today, I’m here to help you troubleshoot some common concerns about using Seint's IIID foundation.

Let’s be real: there’s a bit of a learning curve when it comes to mastering your new makeup. If your first application doesn’t turn out just right, don’t sweat it! It happens to the best of us. I’ll break down four common issues and share simple solutions to help you achieve that flawless look you’re after. Let’s get started!

Problem: Contour is Disappearing or Looks Dirty

Do you ever feel like your contour just vanishes into your skin? If so, it's likely that you're being a bit too gentle with your application. Many people worry about ending up with a harsh dark line, so they end up applying too little product, which can make the contour nearly invisible.

Here’s a pro tip: try stippling or dabbing your contour onto your skin before gently buffing it out in light, circular motions.

This technique helps you place the contour exactly where you want it while ensuring you’re using the right amount of product.

Your contour should mimic the natural shadows on your face. If your contour looks muddy or dirty, you might be using the wrong shade. Experiment with different tones—warmer or cooler—to find your perfect match. Not sure where to start? Take my color match quiz here to discover the ideal shade for your beautiful complexion!

Problem: Makeup Isn’t Setting or Seems Too Slippery

Have you noticed your makeup slipping and sliding, leaving you frustrated instead of fabulous? If your makeup isn’t setting properly, here are a few handy tips to help it stick around:

  • Timing is Key: Avoid applying moisturizer right before your makeup. This can create a barrier that prevents creams from adhering well to your skin. Instead, apply your moisturizer at night or give it at least 10 minutes to soak in before you start your makeup routine.

  • Set It Right: Incorporate Stay Setting Spray and/or Setting Powder into your regimen. Use Stay Setting Spray as a primer before applying your IIID cream foundation—just wait for it to dry before continuing with your makeup. After you finish your look, a light dusting of Vanilla Dust Setting Powder will help lock everything in place for a flawless finish that lasts all day!

With these tips, your makeup will stay put, and you’ll be ready to shine!

  • Less is More: When it comes to cream foundations, remember that a little goes a long way! Creams are more pigmented than liquids or powders, so you don't need as much product to achieve great coverage. Start with the smallest amount and build up only if necessary.

  • Stipple, Don’t Swipe: When applying your cream foundation, always stipple your brush into the makeup tin to pick up the product, then apply it to your face using the same stippling motion. Avoid swiping! This technique ensures you get the perfect amount of product and distributes it evenly across your skin for a flawless finish.

  • Dewy vs. Matte: Creams naturally have a dewy finish, which might feel different at first. Your skin may need some time to adjust to this new product, and so might you! If you prefer a more matte look, don’t hesitate to set your makeup with powder for that polished finish.

With these tips in mind, you’ll be well on your way to mastering your cream foundation!

Problem: Makeup Creasing

Noticing creases with your IIID makeup? No need to panic! This is a common issue that’s easy to fix.

Creams are fantastic for blending seamlessly into your skin, but some areas—like crow's feet, smile lines, and under-eye circles—are more prone to movement. Here’s how to keep those pesky creases at bay:

  • Apply Less Product: The key to preventing creasing is to use less makeup in these high-movement areas. Instead of layering on more, try to use a lighter application. This way, your makeup won’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Use the Right Tools: After applying your makeup, grab your Perfector Sponge and focus on those trouble spots. The damp sponge will help press the product into your skin and remove any excess for a smoother look.

  • Choose Your Brushes Wisely: For those tricky areas, I recommend using the Blend Brush or the Blush and Bronzer Brush to apply your IIID foundation. These brushes offer more control and allow for a lighter touch, helping to minimize creasing.

With these simple tweaks, you'll be well on your way to a beautifully smooth finish without the worry of creasing!

Problem: Brushes Not Applying Makeup Well

If you feel like your brushes aren’t applying your IIID cream makeup as well as they used to, there's a simple fix: grab your Seint Brush Cleaner and clean those brushes! Ideally, you should clean your brushes weekly if you use them daily. Clean brushes ensure your makeup applies more evenly and help prevent skin breakouts.
